Event Timeline
9th March to 10th April
Register for strAIght up! Hackathon
Registration will be open to teams of 2–4 youths aged between 15–25 years old from 18th March to 10th April. Please register early as registration may close once all slots are taken up.
11th April to 13th April
Registration Closes
Registration will close on 11th April. Teams who have been successfully registered will be notified via email by 13th April.
13th April to 17th April
Get Ready!
Teams will receive detailed admin information about the hackathon. The specific challenge statements for each category will be announced in person on 18th April.
18th April
Day 1: Kickoff (Held at LorongAI)
Expect in-depth walkthroughs of challenge statements, technical crash courses and office-hours mentorship. Use this day to kick off the ideation and execution of your project!
19th April to 24th April
Build Your Projects Remotely!
During this period, teams will work on their project in their own time, at their own pace, leading up to the final day of judging!
25th April
Final Day: Judging (Held at LorongAI)
Teams will go through rounds of judging, interact with our sponsors and network with each other. Winners will receive their prizes during the award ceremony.
FAQs
Do I need to pay to attend the strAIght up! Hackathon?
No, strAIght up! Hackathon is free for all attendees!
Will the hackathon be available online for remote attendees?
No. To cultivate opportunities for interaction, participants are required to attend physically on 18th and 25th April.
Will the hackathon take place overnight?
No. Each day's schedule runs from 9am–5pm on 18th April and 10am–4pm on 25th April.
Will lunch be provided at the hackathon?
Yes, lunch will be provided on 18th and 25th April.
Can I attend the hackathon alone?
We strongly discourage signing up alone, as team formation will not be facilitated during the two in-person hackathon days.
Do all my teammates have to register for the hackathon?
Please select one representative to sign up on behalf of the entire team. Only one registration per team is required.
Do I have to be in University to attend this hackathon?
No! We accept registrations from youth aged 15–25, regardless of education level.
